The KRISTAL CUP brings together licensed FFA pilots and contributes to animating the local life of aeroclubs.
Participating in the competition promotes mastery of piloting in a fun and innovative way.
FUN MODE
Entertainment objective.
A simpler preparation process, a more accessible expected precision in trajectories. A score is still calculated for each participation, but there is no ranking, and therefore no losers.
GLORY MODE
Competition objective.
The preparation work must be complete. The expected precision in trajectories is demanding. A score is calculated for each participation. Ranking of participations to determine the winners.
Minimum speed of 80kts or 100kts
Ensures an equivalent level of difficulty despite the difference in speed, allowing for a single ranking.
Automatic scoring
All events of the KRISTAL CUP are evaluated using an automatic scoring system integrated into the KRISTAL.air application.
5 events registered in a Box
The box is a "container" consisting of an entry and exit door. The pilot must pass through these doors or risk being eliminated from the event. If the pilot misses an event, they can still continue to participate in the other Boxes.
What is the flight time to complete the events?
The flight time for the events is about 30 minutes.
Is there a limit on the number of participations?
No, you can participate as many times as you want.
How do I create an event in my aeroclub?
Open the KRISTAL.air app and go to the "Challenges" tab, then "Create" at the top of the screen. Select "Create a KRISTAL CUP" and follow the prompts.
Who can participate?
The competition is open to all FFA licensed pilots.
Is participation free?
Yes, participation is 100% free, just like the app which is available on the App Store and Play Store.
Are there prizes to be won?
Yes, there is a local and national ranking. Sponsors will offer prizes to the winners during an awards ceremony in September 2025.
